DOZENS of schools have signed up for our fantastic £10,000 cash giveaway – and over the next 10 weeks we'll be printing tokens for you to collect.
The first Cash For Schools token is in this week's paper so it's time to get collecting.

Tokens should be handed to schools, then when we've printed the final one they'll be sent to us and we'll announce the winners.

Cash For Schools, a partnership between the Reporter Series and Barclays, will see cash prizes handed out to the five schools collecting the most tokens.

It's free to take part and small schools will stand just as good a chance as bigger ones as we will calculate the competition on a token per pupil basis.

We have a total of £10,000 to give away to the five schools with the highest totals: 1st prize £3,000; 2nd prize £2,500; 3rd prize £2,000; 4th prize £1,500; 5th prize £1,000.

Schools can spend the prize money on whatever they need.*

Marie Morris, community investment manager for Barclays, explained that the Barclays Money Skills community investment programme aimed to give young people the skills and confidence needed to manage increasingly complex financial challenges, from sticking to a budget to understanding things like credit agreements.

Barclays Money Skills activity packs for schools or colleges are available through our offices.

And don't forget that schools who are currently running their own enterprise or financial projects will qualify for extra
tokens.
