ONCE again the Dewsbury Churches Together mini walk on Sunday May 10 proved to be a great success and surpass our expectations. Several organisations took part in the 40th walk including Overthorpe Junior and Infants School, Thornhill Junior and Infants School, Faith and Light and various churches including, Dewsbury Baptist, Westborough Methodist, St Paulinus, Longcauseway URC, Central Methodist and Thornhill Methodist.
We anticipate being able to donate the same amount of money as last year - 50 per cent to Christian Aid/CAFOD and the remainder to local charities who apply for a donation before June 20 to me in writing. Money will be allocated at an open evening which is open to anyone on Monday June 29 at Dewsbury Baptist Church. A presentation evening will be held there on Wednesday July 15.
