AN award ceremony put top pupils at a Mirfield school firmly in the spotlight.
A glitzy event at Huddersfield's Galpharm stadium was the setting for a prizegiving with a difference.
Mirfield Free Grammar rolled out the red carpet for the school's 'outstanding 100'.
Vice-principal Neal Packard said: "We used to have a prizegiving for various awards but last year we decided to re-brand to make it more of a big thing.
"So we established the 'outstanding 100' to tie in with our status as an outstanding school, giving out certificates for each subject and qualities such as leadership."
This fits in with MFG's designation as a leadership partner school in which it links-up with other schools in the area.
Neal added: "The ceremony at the Galpharm went really well. It is now an important date in the school calendar and everyone got a real buzz from it. Our pupils are amazing and it was good to recognise that in this special way."
