GENEROUS pupils have donated more than 400 items to be raffled off for charity.
The Battyeford Primary School pupils gave unwanted Christmas presents, bottles of wine, chocolates and toiletries to languages teacher Michelle Williams, who will use them at an event in April to raise cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Michelle, whose mum Pauline died last year from cancer, said: "Marie Curie were such a huge support to the whole family. They do an amazing job and help so many people in so many ways."
The donations will be used as tombola prizes at a fundraising event on April 17 at St Mary's Parish Church hall, where Michelle's husband Chris will be playing with his band the Sonic Pugs.
Michelle is also planning another fundraising event for the charity in June.
She said: "I can't believe how much stuff we got. I was overwhelmed and touched by everyone's generosity."
