Brave Eden, 11, loses cancer battle

SCHOOLGIRL Eden Shaw has died after a 14-month battle against cancer.
Eden, 11, of St Paulinus Close, Westtown, Dewsbury, passed away at home on Saturday morning surrounded by her family.

She had been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive form of childhood cancer, in February 2007.

Her bravery and dignity throughout her illness was an inspiration to many and touched the hearts of Reporter readers who helped raise £11,000 for the Eden Shaw Appeal.

She was also recognised for her courage at the Reporter's Champion Children Awards last week.
