DEWSBURY Hospital's neo-natal unit has received a tap-tastic boost from a charity dance event.
The event saw 12 adults and more than 35 children from the Sharron Mallinson School of Dance tapping their way to raise more than £1,000 for the unit. Dancers strutted their stuff for two hours.

Sharron said she wanted to show her appreciation for the unit which cared for her daughter, Paige, eight, when she was born.

She said: "I wanted to show my appreciation for the work they do and I felt I was in a position to give something back. My daughter was taken to the unit with broncholitus when she was born and now we've both been invited to present them with the cheque next month. I am also planning another charity event later this year."

The fleet footed participants will be presented with a certificate at a ceremony on April 19.
