MIRFIELD town council is to get its own state-of-the-art website.
At the council's meeting last Tuesday, councillors unanimously agreed to give more than £4,200 to web design company Chrobis to build the site.

The site will include news and events, information for Mirfield people on how to contact councillors and how to give feedback on projects. West Yorkshire Police and Neighbourhood Watch are also said to be interested.

Councillors will have their own 'blogs', online diaries, and email addresses where they can be contacted. Coun Stephen Grant said: "It is a very exciting project. I am excited about the opportunity for organisation and for councillors to have their own space."

The site is expected to go live in May.
