EAGLE-eyed music fans may have seen the name Tim Daniel on the sleeve notes of their favourite pop stars' CDs.
For others, his name may be one they haven't heard before.
But all that is set to change when Mirfield-born Tim unleashes his first single next week.
Over the past six years, Tim, 30, has been quietly writing songs for artists including Blue, Simon Webbe, Lemar and Delta Goodrem, and has worked with Take That star Gary Barlow on a number of musical projects.
But he has now decided to enter the limelight himself – and has already kick-started his career as a support act on Take That's 2007 arena tour.
Tim's first single, Digging My Heels In, is released on Monday, and can be downloaded for less than £1 from www.iTunes.com
And following swiftly on is Tim's album Putting It To Bed, released on May 16.
Former Castle Hall High School pupil Tim said he had decided to release his own record after writing a number of songs based on his own life experiences.
He said: "With my songwriting I always imagine sitting in the Swan in Mirfield and thinking about my mates – would they understand it? I'm definitely inspired by home and Mirfield and the things you go through."
Tim got his break when he was in a band in Germany, after meeting writers and producers who introduced him to contemporaries on the British music scene, landing a publishing deal with Universal Records.
He began writing for other acts and worked with Gary Barlow for Delta Goodrem, and Gary was so impressed with his material he invited him to support Take That on their 2007 tour.
He said: "I did seven days with them and it was amazing to be involved in it. I was a bit nervous going into it but Take That's fans seem to have taken to it and have started up their own fan sites for me which is great. It's all really positive."
Tim said although he had been working with celebrities for a number of years, he wouldn't let success go to his head.
He said: "I don't really do the celebrity thing and I've always been pretty grounded.
"You can't help it if you come from Mirfield. I'm just proud of where I came from and it's nice to put it on the map and for other people to come out of Mirfield besides Patrick Stewart!
"It's just a good buzz to write a melody and two months later you hear it on the radio."
Tim appeared on This Morning with Fern and Phillip yesterday, and will be performing on Radio Two's Friday Night is Music Night on May 23 with the BBC Orchestra. He will be playing his new single on Channel Five's Gadget Show on May 26, and will be interviewed on Radio Aire, Real Radio and Radio Leeds tonight – after which he will be celebrating with a pint in the Swan.
