CARING kids in Mirfield donned pyjamas and gathered up teddies to take part in a global sleepover for charity.
Members of 1st Mirfield Brownies bedded down in a church hall to be a part of the BT Giant Sleepover. This is an annual challenge which sees thousands of youngsters all over the world sleeping out to raise money for Save the Children or other good causes.

Some 16 girls and five leaders spent the night in the hall – enjoying various fun activities before lights out. They made hair slides, created bags out of wallpaper and tried fruit-tasting.

Brown Owl Rachel Parr said the first one asleep was about 11pm with the last nodding off by 3am.

"It was quite an achievement for us to do something like this and it went really well," said Rachel.

The Brownies raised around £30 and this will be split between St Andrew's church and Save the Children.
