A KIND-HEARTED young cyclist is set to raise up to £700 for Haiti earthquake victims.
Holly McCall, 12, and her dad Steve are planning a full-day ride tomorrow.

Steve, of Royd Wells, Mirfield, said: "We will be setting off at dawn and covering the cycleways of West Yorkshire, mainly the Calder and Spen Valley Greenways with a bit of road linking them up.

"Holly has set a website up with Actionaid, which she is raising funds for. It's a favourite charity of ours which uses the money to provide shelter, water and medication and also rebuilding, education and psychological help for the victims of such a terrible natural disaster.

"Holly raised more than £150 in less than a week towards an initial target of £250. To date she's raised £628."

Steve has nominated Holly for a Reporter Series Champion Children award – see page 10 for more.
