Please help me find my missing books
A MIRFIELD author whose books have been read by children across the country is hoping to find lost copies of his work.
Bill Forde, pictured, of Nettleton Road, has written 30 books, and donated £200,000 profits to charity.
His books have been read to schoolchildren by hundreds of celebrities, including Michael Parkinson, Norman Wisdom and Prunella Scales, and Princess Diana even requested a copy of one of his books to read to Princes William and Harry.
Over the years Bill has lent out some of his books, which were limited editions – leaving him without copies of some. And now he is hoping to find the missing books and pass them on to his grandchildren.
The books he is looking for are Our World, written during the 1990s; Lost, written in 2000, Everyone and Everything; written in 1989 or 1990 and Nancy's Song, written in the 1990s.
He asked readers with copies they would be willing to sell or swap to contact him.
He added: "Please help myself and family to be reunited with the above publications."
Bill can be contacted at douglasthedragon@tiscali.co.uk or at 51 Nettleton Road, Mirfield.
