A BEER festival in aid of Britain's armed forces is being held in Mirfield this weekend.
The event – to raise money for Help for Heroes – is at the Old Colonial in Dunbottle Lane, starting tonight at 8.15pm.

The festival will feature 12 real ales, 50 bottled real ales and two hand-pulled lagers. Tomorrow evening there is live music.

There will be a military presence on both days.

ANYONE wanting wreaths for this year's Remembrance parade in Mirfield should contact Tim Wood or Barry Fretwell on 01924 496920/506590.

A number have already been ordered for the November 8 event but extras or other remembrance items can be requested.
