A celebration of Japanese illustration is coming to Huddersfield.
Fans of Manga and Anime are taking part in the Manga Convention at Huddersfield Literature Festival, at Huddersfield University on Saturday March 8 from 11am-6pm.
Manga fan Rachael Burhouse said: “Manga, a highly artistic style of comic book, and Anime, cover anything from robots and aliens to love stories, and have a huge following all across the world.
“There will be Japanese literature and reading activities, a Cosplay competition, artist competition, live music and dance performances. Artists will run workshops, there’ll be a Japanese food court, Manga stalls to browse, and a games room and loli-lounge (loli being short for Lolita, a very cute style of dressing).” Tickets are £5 for adults.
