An imaginative re-telling of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel Kidnapped is coming to the Victoria Theatre Halifax.
Kidnapped tells the story of Davie Balfour and Alen Breck as they escape murder and shipwreck on a quest for justice, set against the fierce social and political upheavals of 1760s Scotland.
The Sell a Door Theatre Company will bring playwright Ivan Wilkinson’s adaptation of the book to Halifax for two nights, starting on Friday February 7.
Director Anna Fox said: “Presenting Kidnapped on stage presents an amazing opportunity to explore storytelling.
“What makes the novel so beloved is its ability to captivate audiences young and old, and placing its characters on stage combines Stevenson’s gripping plot with the immediacy and excitement of live performance.”
Tickets cost £10. They can be booked by ringing 01422 351158.
