Three Batley men have been charged with human trafficking-related offences.

Mohammed Rafiq, 59, of Thorncliffe Road, Staincliffe, Mohammed Tariq Patel, 39, of Carr Side Crescent and Mohamed Dadhiwala, 46, of Upper Mount Street, will appear before Kirklees Magistrates on December 1.

On Wednesday they were charged with conspiracy to arrange or facilitate travel within the UK for exploitation.

All three were arrested last month as part of Operation Tavernhouse, an investigation into the alleged exploitation of migrant workers in the Kirklees area.

Mr Rafiq is the managing director of Ravensthorpe-based bed firm Kozee Sleep.
