A spectacular 15m fountain of water shot into the air after a pipe burst in Batley.
Motorists and residents watched as it created an impromptu water feature in Wellington Street on Saturday.
The burst, which happened at around 4.30pm, took almost seven hours to be fully repaired.
A Yorkshire Water spokesman said: “The burst on Wellington Street was quite spectacular after one of our pipes burst on Saturday creating a fountain which was approximately 15m in the air.
“Our team was quickly on the scene and the pipe and road surface was repaired by 11.20pm.
“We had one call from a resident who had low pressure following the burst but no one was left without water.”
