THREE people were injured by blundering thieves who targeted the wrong house in a robbery.
A gang of five men attacked a woman and two men after they called at a home in Millers Croft, Birstall, claiming to be delivering a pizza.
The incident happened at 9.30pm on Wednesday, when four adults and four children were home.
The woman, a 47-year-old, answered a knock at the door, and told what she thought was a takeaway delivery man they had not ordered food.
A second man then forced the door open and threw the woman to the ground.
Three other suspects entered the house and began searching the rooms while asking the occupants for drugs.
Once the gang realised it was in the wrong house it left, taking jewellery and cash.
The woman and two men, aged 31 and 48, were assaulted, receiving minor injuries.
A 29-year-old woman and four children aged between four and 13 were not harmed.
The man who posed as a delivery man was described as Asian, in his early 30s, around 5ft 5ins tall and of slim built.
The man who forced the door open was described as black, around 6ft tall, slim and in his early 20s. He wore a grey hooded top. The three other suspects were also described as black, in their early 20s, of medium build and over 6ft tall.
