Pupils from four Dewsbury schools came together to celebrate their work on the Crucial Crew programme.

More than 200 children from Overthorpe Academy, Headfield Infant and Junior, Thornhill Infant and Junior and Thornhill Community Academy took part in the event last Friday.

It marked the end of their time on the programme which teaches children how to stay safe and make a positive contribution to society.

The celebration included short performances by pupils and a display of artwork.

The council runs the scheme along with emergency and community services.
