TWO former nurses say their elderly mother was robbed of all dignity in her dying days.

The family of Jane Horner, 89, say the ‘absolutely appalling’ standard of care at Dewsbury and District Hospital played a part in her death.

Now the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust has started an investigation.

Mrs Horner’s daughter, Edith Campbell, said: “She just gave up because her dignity and pride had been taken away from her.

“She should have had a good standard of living in her last few days.”
