DEWSBURY’S D Shop was heaving this week as local churches teamed up to spread the Easter message.

Churches Together have taken over the shop from Monday until tomorrow to spotlight Holy Week. And people have been flocking to take part in activities linked to the scriptures.

Dewsbury Moor vicar the Rev Kathy Robertson said: “We have been really busy right the way through. Children have loved doing the crafts and an Easter egg treasure hunt.”

A main attraction was a Lego model of the Holy Week story put together by Jonathan and Timothy Lane, aged 12 and seven, from Dewsbury Elim Church.

Elim minister the Rev Sue Nicholls said: “It has been fantastic to see so many in unity.”
