TICKETS are still available for TV presenter Pete Waterman’s talk on steam trains.
The Pop Idol star was best known as a member of Stock Aitken and Waterman songwriters and producers, which boosted the careers of many 80s pop acts including Bananarama, Rick Astley, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.
Mr Waterman is a steam rail enthusiast and will give a talk on his experiences and involvement in owning and running steam locomotives.
Organised by Mirfield Railway Enthusiasts Society, the event takes place next Saturday at 7.45pm at the Navigation Tavern, Station Road, Mirfield,
Tickets are £5 for members and £8 for non-members.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not trust children’s hospice and respite centre, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Pete Waterman’s own heritage trust in Crewe.
