A CHARITY held an open day for local people to find out more about its services.
Lifeline Kirklees provides support and information to people suffering with drug and alcohol problems across the district.
On Monday, it hosted a community event at Moorside Community Centre where people could find out more about the work it does.
Visitors were also able to find out about the organisations Lifeline works with, including Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing, alcohol treatment service On-TRAK, pregnancy support service Auntie Pam’s, the fire service and Kirklees Council’s young people’s service.
As well getting information, visitors enjoyed a barbecue that Lifeline put on at the centre in Moorside Avenue, Dewsbury Moor.
Children, meanwhile, had a bouncy castle to play on.
For confidential information and advice on drugs and alcohol, call Lifeline Kirklees on 01924 438383.
