PEDAL power and a cake sale have add to a nationwide charity kitty.
Fourteen Leeds Building Society employees are cycling 1,300 miles around the country for the company’s JubiLeeds appeal. Along the way they are visiting 60 branches and collecting the money raised by each store.
The building society’s Dewsbury branch held a bake sale and raffle, won by customer John Rigby, raising £280 for the appeal.
Manager John Manship said: “We were delighted to receive a visit from Bev and Kelly from the JubiLeeds appeal.
“Our team has been raising funds to assist them in their fundraising total.”
The money raised by the appeal, set up to mark the Diamond Jubilee, will be split between four charities, The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, Martin House Children’s Hospice, St Gemma’s Hospice and Tiny Lives Special Care Baby Unit.
