Young photographers aged under 16 and under could win a special prize as part of the search for images for next year’s Hopton in Bloom calendar.
The Hopton in Bloom calendar has been produced annually since 2007 with all the proceeds going to village projects and planting for the Yorkshire in Bloom competition.
James Bland, from the team, said: “Our supporters keep asking for more photographs of the village in all its blooming glory, village icons and landmarks, surrounding local scenes, colourful displays, seasonal colours and moods, views of Upper Hopton and interesting features in the village’s gardens. There’s plenty of scope.”
Photographs do not need to be technically perfect, but need to have a wow factor.
All entries should include the entrants’ name, age if 16 and under, where the photograph was taken, date it was taken and a contact number or email address must be submitted to James Bland on a CD, USB Memory device or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01924 502478.
Entries close at midnight on May 20 and ideally, entries should be landscape, high resolution, jpg format.
Entries will be judged by the team in June.
