Don’t miss your new look Mirfield Reporter this week!
It’s all change for your favourite weekly newspaper this week as the Mirfield Reporter takes on a fantastic new look and outlook.
Our page designs will be getting a makeover, with the new look including fresher headlines, body type and layouts.
But the changes don’t end there, as we’ve also invested effort into a deeper and better value level of content.
You’ll find a news focus double page each week centred on a key issue or topic from your local area. This might be a serious, analytical feature or a more light-hearted take on something the community is talking about.
We’ll also be concentrating more on reporting junior sport – all the teams, the match reports and picture profiles too.
Our entertainments guide will also be getting a makeover, and will be rebranded as WOW 24/7 – the What’s on Where guide for your district. There will be a stack of new content complemented by a new national website of the same name.
And it won’t just be in print that you can expect to see changes.
Our website will be relaunched in due course, and you can expect to see even more up-to-the-minute breaking news going live together with more video and picture content.
And to complete the multi-media set, our reporters will be increasingly active on Facebook and Twitter, providing background and conversation to the week’s biggest stories.
Reporter editor Hannah Ridgeway said: “I hope you’ll agree that this represents a great value-for-money package for all our readers and we hope you get involved with the new look and outlook.”
