Football shorts - Transfer news from Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United

Have your say

It’s been a decidedly average transfer window thus far. When Daniel Sturridge is the window’s top mover, you know it’s time for things to start heating up and, with any luck, they will be very soon.

Sky Sports are getting very excited at the fact that Skybet have suspended betting on Mario Balotelli’s next club after a string of bets over the weekend which said the Italian was on his way back to Milan – this time with AC.

Italian clubs are a bit short of cash these days, and even Man City’s reserve players tend to earn squillions, so a loan move looks increasingly possible, particularly as AC balked at City’s £25 million asking price earlier in the season.
