Dazzling entertainment, family fun stalls, poetry, art and a mechanical hippo.
Batley Festival is back and bigger than ever.
This year’s festival promises to build on the success of previous years and unite the community with a day of fun.
And the first wave of acts to take to the stage has been announced.
Impressionist Craig Harper, who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, joins the line-up alongside The Dohl Drummers and Songsational.
The Indian dance group Manasamitra, Kirklees Music School and Batley singer-songwriter Jade Helliwell will also be on the bill.
The Hippochondriac Thingumajig Theatre will be roaming the streets giving a puppet show from the inside of a mechanical hippo.
Simon Thirkill, who has been involved in Batley Festival for the last three years, said people could expect a lot more exciting announcements in the coming weeks.
The festival takes place on Saturday September 27, 11am to 4pm.
