Man arrested for flying drone in stadium at Huddersfield Town match

The football match between Huddersfield Town and Liverpool FC was briefly paused last night following a drone being flown in to the Galpharm Stadium.

The referee took the decision to briefly stop the match on grounds of safety after the drone was seen approximately an hour in to the game. 

Police officers were quickly deployed to the immediate area. The pilot was identified and the drone recovered.  

A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
