National award for slimmer who shed seven stone in 13 months

A MUM who shed almost half her body weight in 13 months after watching her father suffer with heart disease has been named one of Britain’s best slimmers.

Debbie Plumpton, 43, was overweight for more than 20 years, but dropped from a size 24 to a size 8/10 in just over a year after joining a slimming club in Mirfield.

Her weight has gone down from 16st 5lb to 9st 5lb and Mrs Plumpton is now a complete fitness fanatic.

She said: “I’m glad I feel healthier and have hopefully added years to my life.”
