MIRFIELD actor Patrick Stewart has signed up for another five-year stint as chancellor of Huddersfield University.
The Hollywood actor, best known for his role as Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation, has been chancellor of the university since 2004. He has attended key events, was made a professor last year, and even teaches master classes for drama students when he visits.
He said: "I had absolutely no hesitation in agreeing to a second term of office. I am looking forward to the next five years, and will continue to spend as much time at the university as I can."
