It has been a busy week for police in Mirfield as gates, a Mazda car and a gas cylinder storage were subjects of vandalism.

The paintwork of a Mazda 6 was scratched in Knowl Road, Eastthorpe on February 7 at around 9.45pm.

A Skoda Roomster was then stolen from Crossley Lane, Northorpe with keys that were left in the door on February 9 at 1.40pm. The vehicle has since been recovered.

The lower panel in a UPVC front door was removed before burglars entered and stole cash tins at Little Acorns day nursery in Towngate on February 9 at around 7.30pm.

Door mirrors were stolen from a Ford Transit van outside Oxfam in Huddersfield Road at midnight on February 10.

Two iPods, cash and a necklace were stolen from a Mini Cooper in Woodsome Drive, Kitson Hill at 11.50am later that morning. Thieves attempted to open a gas cylinder storage at the rear of LD Smith in Huddersfield Road at around 5pm that day.

The tyre of a Volvo V40 was damaged in Northway on February 11 at 7.30pm.

Later that evening, gates and a fence were damaged at Jill Lane, Northorpe at around 8.54pm.
