Simon Reevell will be fighting to remain the MP for Dewsbury and Mirfield at the next general election.
Local Conservatives have re-selected Mr Reevell as their party’s candidate for Parliamentary seat which he currently holds.
Mr Reevell, who was elected in 2010, was picked at the executive council meeting of Dewsbury Conservative Association.
He said: “I would like to thank the Association for its support during my tenure as MP for Dewsbury.
“I am very flattered to have been re-selected as its candidate and am determined to continue working hard for Dewsbury’s constituents.
“I am confident that we can do as well in 2015 as we did in 2010.”
Association chairman and Mirfield town councillor Alan Burton said: “I am delighted that the Association has re-selected Simon.
“The hard work and determination he has shown in the last three years in helping the residents of Dewsbury and representing their views is clear for all to see.
“We can now start to think about the 2015 election and build on our past success.”
