KIRKLEES Council has revealed who it is hoping will move into Pioneer House.
Housing association Connect Housing is in discussions with the council to move its Kirklees base from Huddersfield to Dewsbury.
Connect Housing would be the first firm to move into Pioneer House since Kirklees Council bought it. The firm employs Coun Paul Kane (Lab, Dews East) but he has not been involved in any discussions or decisions.
Martin Broadest from Connect Housing said the firm was delighted to be in discussions with the council.
Coun David Sheard, cabinet member for investment and housing, said: “Making this announcement just goes to show that in the right hands, and with the right partners working together, there is a very positive future not only for Pioneer House, but also the wider town.”
