We overlook the war memorial in Ings Grove Park in Mirfield and following the high winds yesterday, my daughter was upset to notice that the wreaths laid on Remembrance Sunday had been blown all over the park.
After a short while she came downstairs and said she had witnessed three Castle Hall School pupils collecting these and putting them back in place against the memorial.
I rang the school to report this as I felt this act of upmost respect shown by these three young people should be commended.
As a parent, I would feel extremely proud if any of my children were to carry out such a decent act. Well done!!
