Liversedge bid to end their losing run when they entertain fellow strugglers Nostell Miners Welfare in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division on Saturday.

Liversedge have lost their opening three league games, their latest set back a 2-1 reversal by Parkgate last Saturday, but actually climbed off the foot of the table after Nostell lost 3-1 at Staveley.

Armthorpe Welfare and Barton Town are also yet to get off the mark, so victory over Nostell could see Sedge climb the table.

Craig Fletcher gave Parkgate a second minute lead last Saturday and it remained 1-0 until the final 10 minutes.

Andrew Wood bagged an 80th minute equaliser but Liversedge’s joy was shortlived as Daniel Abdulla netted just two minutes later to ensure Parkgate left with all three points.
