Local trio handed home ties in cup second round

Batley Boys, Thornhill Trojans and Dewsbury Moor have all been handed home ties in the BARLA National Cup second round, with matches scheduled for Saturday January 24.

Batley Boys have been rewarded for their eight-try victory over Ryhill Hammers with a clash against Illingworth.

National Conference bound Thornhill entertain Heysham Atoms, while Dewsbury Moor face a tough clash aginst Hunslet Parkside Club.

Second round draw: Brighouse v Sharlston Rovers, Thornhill Trojans v Heysham Atoms, Halifax Irish v Keighley, Batley Boys v Illingworth, Egremont v Bamber Bridge or Wath Brow Hornets, Upton v Stanningley, Queens v St Maries Vikings, Dewsbury Moor v Hunslet Parkside Club.
