Dewsbury Rams have recalled second-rower Jason Muranka following a successful loan spell with University of Gloucestershire All Golds.
Muranka was named as 18th man ahead of Sunday’s match against Halifax and only missed out on selection after Tommy Gallagher passed a late fitness test.
The former Dewsbury Celtic player, who featured for the Rams during the pre-season, was named in the Kingstone Press Championship 1 team of the week twice during his spell with the All Golds.
And having recently recovered from a broken finger, Muranka will be in contention for selection in the Rams’ final four league games and potential play-off campaign.
“Jason was in with a good shout of playing on Sunday, as Tommy was only passed fit during the warm-up,” explained Rams head coach Glenn Morrison.
“We want to get him a game this year as he is a great local kid with plenty of potential.”
