THORNHILL A proved too strong for Stanley as they won the Ossett, Horbury and District Bowls Association’s John Salmon Trophy.

After four jacks of last Saturday’s final Thornhill (+12) had reduced the deficit with Stanley (+48) to just two points.

Stanley had a 21-18 winner in the second four but Thornhill were always in control and won the match by 36 points.
