Art fair comes to Gomersal

aRT enthusiasts Ann and Paul Fisher have been busy organising the first Yorkshire Art Fair to be held at Gomersal Public Hall, next weekend.

The fair is on Saturday April 21 from 10am-5pm and as well as being an enjoyable family day out, it will raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer Fund.

Works from 25 artists – both amateur and professional – will be on sale, and there will also be miniature model makers, framers, suppliers of art materials, sculpture and printed cards.

Children can have a go at making their own work or art and possibly win a prize and visitors can watch the artists at work while expert advice and tuition can be enjoyed through a free demonstration by internationally renowned Yorkshire artist Bruce Mulcahy.

Attending the fair will be the Mayor of Kirklees, Coun Eric Firth, and there will be a raffle and tombola.

Admission to the fair is free. Space is limited for the free demonstration, but seats can be reserved by [email protected] or by calling Ann on 0794 654 8046.

Gomersal Public Hall is in Oxford Road, next door to Red House Museum.
