IT’S an incredible 50 years since four lads from Liverpool turned the world of music upside down heralding a whole new era in pop.

Back in the Swinging Sixties young people found themselves with freedoms never before enjoyed by previous generations, and at the heart of this social revolution was music – with the Beatles at the forefront.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their first hit single Love Me Do, the town hall in Cleckheaton is to host the Meet the Beatles theatre show on Friday October 5.

This non-stop tribute to the Fab Four features the whole of the Beatles’ career from the early days to Sgt Pepper and beyond. With back projection the audience will also experience the Beatles on film in this special anniversary celebration. Expect non-stop hits such as Please Please me, Love Me Do, Help, Yellow Submarine, Hey Jude and many more.
