Mirfield care home rated Good by inspectors sold off

Specialist property adviser, Christie & Co, announced the sale of Radcliffe Residential Home.

The home was previously owned by Mr Kevin Martin, who ran the business for over 20 years, and has recently been purchased by Radcliffe Care Home Limited, part of Domain Care.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Director Mr Shafayat Hussain, said: “We are very pleased that Domain Care has acquired this wonderful care home to add to their portfolio.

"The care home has a longstanding tradition of providing quality care to the elderly in Kirklees.

"We aim to continue providing a high standard of care for the elderly at Radcliffe. We also look forward to working with the dynamic team of managers and carers who have maintained a high standard of service despite the difficult times everyone is currently facing.”

In its last Care Quality Commission Inspection the care home was rated ‘Good’.

"The sale of Radcliffe Residential Home to established care operators shows there is long term confidence in the sector, and this is our third sale in North of England since lockdown at the beginning of April.

"The committed and unwavering work carried out by these people has only recently come to the forefront, but it has been there for many years and will continue in the future. We wish the new providers and staff at Radcliffe continued success”.

Radcliffe Residential Home was sold at an undisclosed price.
