A banner of friendship
WOMEN from different communities have sewn together a banner that represents the bond between them.
Mothers and friends of Overthorpe Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Pentland Infant and Nursery School have been working on the banner, which will hang in Dewsbury Town Hall.
Habiban Zaman, from Kirklees Council’s Community Cohesion Team, said: “The project is bringing together women from different backgrounds, and they have been able to find out about each other’s faiths and cultures, and be able to better understand each other.
“The banner represents their feelings and their community.”
