Anne dances into retirement

A popular line dancing tutor is handing over the baton after 10 happy years.

Anne Whitfield started attending the line dancing classes, part of the University of the Third Age, at Cleckheaton Town Hall after meeting other dancers at different groups within the area.

While most sessions are fortnightly, Anne decided to host them every week.

After a recent operation, Anne was back dancing within three weeks and will still attend classes after she passes on her duties.

Jackie Holroyd and Christine Lister will now conduct the class.
