Armed police called out to Ravensthorpe
Armed police were sent to Ravensthorpe last night (Monday) after paramedics voiced concerns.
Ambulance staff had been called to an address in Beacon Street at 8.06pm.
They contacted police when it was suggested there could be a firearm at the property.

Hide AdThe police helicopter was also sent out to provide tactical support.
A police spokesman said no guns had been found and no shots were fired, but Dewsbury Neighbourhood Policing Team was carrying out extra patrols to reassure the community.
