Baby goods firm blooming!

A baby products manufacturer based in Dewsbury is booming '“ and will grow even bigger after a receiving a six-figure cash boost.

Infant and children’s safety item specialists Mee-Go has bagged a £355,000 funding package from HSBC.

The Wharf Street business now hopes to take on new staff in senior positions, double its turnover and bring out the UK’s lightest pushchair.

The company supplies a range of prams, highchairs, pushchairs, baby furniture,and other nursery products to 92 retailers across the country – but its products reach China, Korea, Denmark, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

Mee-Go founder Paul Roberts said: “Our aim was to revisit our business processes and change how we operate.

“This finance package is central to ensuring we deliver the best children’s and infant safety products which are functional, safe, and innovative, in the most efficient way possible.

“We continue to grow quickly, but remain focused on exploring further international opportunities and introducing new product lines.”

Mee-Go, which employs five people, was set up 17 years ago and strives to create high-quality products that are safe andeasy for parents to use.
