Birds of prey swoop into Old Bank
Magnificent birds swooped over the head of children in special birds of prey assemblies at Old Bank School.
The visit from a Harris haw, eagle owl, little owl, tawny owl and barn owl was part of a project the school ran on birds in conjunction with a RSPB campaign to get children to log birds in their playgrounds.
Headteacher Carolyn Walker said: “The children, from reception to year 6, absolutley loved it. They learnt such a lot, and they’ve produced some lovely written work and artwork after the visit.”
