Boy seriously injured after he was hit by car
A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in Savile Town on New Year’s Eve.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident at the junction of South Street and Warren Street on Tuesday December 31 at about 4.10pm.
The boy was hit by a Chevrolet Matiz and suffered serious injuries to his lower body.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary when he remains and his condition is not life threatening.
PC David Hall of the Southern Area Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are investigating this incident and I would appeal for anyone who saw either the collision or the movements of the boy or the Matiz shortly beforehand to contact myself at the Southern Area Roads Policing unit on 101.”
