A business park has sealed its reputation as a hub of industry after a new tenant signed up to make the complex fully let.

Northern Powergrid have taken out the whole 10,000 sq ft Block A in Access 26 Business Park in Centurion Way, at Junction 26 of the M62 in Cleckheaton.

The plot is one of three new high quality industrial units, comprising nearly 20,000 sq ft – and rented at £6.50 per sq ft – of land built speculatively by St Paul’s Street Investments Limited.

Leeds-based poperty consultants Knight Frank and surveyors Carter Towler advised on the letting.

Tom Lamb, associate and industrial property specialist with Knight Frank, said: “This is one of very few speculatively-built developments in the Yorkshire region during the past five years.

“So it is tremendous news that all three units have now been let.

“These are high-class units, with an excellent BREEAM rating, fully-fitted offices and generous loading and parking space,” he added.

“So it is not surprising they have been snapped up.

“Access 26 is positioned in a prime location in the region, it is on the outskirts of Cleckheaton, and adjacent to the M62 and M606 interchange at Junction 26.”

Josh Holmes, of Carter Towler, added: “This superb strategic location provides direct access to the Leeds and Bradford conurbations, together with the national motorway network.

“This is highlighted by the fact that all the major centres in West Yorkshire are easily accessible within 15 minutes.”

A Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (BREEAM) is designed to score a development on its ability to be sustainable.

The new tenants Northern Powergrid join the many businesses which populate Centurion Way such as A S Care Limited, chartered accountancy firm Clough and Company and Jiffy Trucks Holdings.

Northern Powergrid is responsible for keeping power up and running in homes and businesses across the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire.

Their plot in Cleckheaton is by far the biggest in Access 26, with Block B having 4,400 sq ft of space. Block C – which was taken up by independent manufacturer and distributor Valmar Sideloaders last year – is 5,000 sq ft.
