Children's event to raise funds for Yorkshire Children's Hospices' Appeal

A charity fundraiser takes place in Mirfield this coming Monday, hoping to raise funds for the Yorkshire Children's Hospices' Appeal.

The Yorkshire Children’s Hospices Appeal is being backed by Johnston Press newspapers including the Reporter Series, and is looking to raise vital funds for a trio of charities; Martin House, Bluebell Wood and Forget-Me-Not.

Mini Me Time Cleckheaton and Mirfield are holding a sponsored ‘FitMess’ event on Monday, August 15 at Christ the King on Stocks Bank Road.

The event, which is for babies and children aged up to seven, will last all day (9.30am until 4.30pm) and includes a children’s sponsored obstacle race (with a messy twist), donkey rides, bouncy castle, stalls, competitions, refreshments and more.

The main event is a sponsored ‘FitMess’ obstacle course, where children will register prior to the event to take part.

Organiser Linda Swallow said: “We saw the YCH Appeal and want to help give something back to the families in the local community who relay on Martin House, Bluebell Wood and Forget-Me-Not.
