Church organisers are celebrating after receiving thousands of pounds from the Heritage Lottery Fund for urgent repair works.
Dewsbury Baptist Church was given a £20,000 grant from the fund, to repair its roof and gutters and make the building water-tight. The work will include replacing the guttering and roofs at the main church building and at the Memorial Hall.
It will start in July and take around five months to complete.
The church provides space for a number of community groups.
